Performance Operations Director Tracey Neville has taken up an opportunity to join the Adelaide Thunderbirds as part of their coaching set up for 2023. Linking up once again with Tania Obst, Neville will form a formidable coaching team along with Cathy Fellows to take forward the hugely talented roster.
Neville will take a sabbatical season from her coaching commitments at Manchester Thunder, however, she will maintain her position on the board where she is a key member rolling out the future strategy for the club. She will continue with her coaching commitments until the start of the Suncorp Super Netball pre-season in February.
The playing roster at Thunderbirds is exceptionally talented and uniquely diverse and they should be pushing to challenge for finals, this includes four-time Superleague winner Eleanor Cardwell who Neville will relish reconnecting with.
A fantastic opportunity a part of her personal development, Neville will be joined by her family out in Australia.
Neville commented: “The opportunity to work in Australia has always been a passion of mine and when this opportunity was presented to me by Adelaide Thunderbirds, it was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse. Manchester Thunder have always supported my ambitions and taking this sabbatical season will no doubt benefit them in the long term. I will still be maintaining my position on the board with Manchester Thunder as their Performance Operation Director and providing coaching support while in the UK.”
