Team Emmerdale will be out for revenge in the rematch, following a 33-28 defeat to Corrie in the inaugural showdown game. More cast members are expected to be added to each team in the coming weeks.
Not wanting to be left out, male cast members will also be playing supportive roles at the match. The match will take place at the Thunderdome in Gorton on Saturday, November 22.
The soap stars will team up with players from their local netball Superleague team – Manchester Thunder and Yorkshire Jets – along with members of their respective production crew. The teams were cheered on by a sell-out 1,000 crowd at the Thunderome when they last clashed in September 2013.
The charity match is to raise funds for ITV’s Text Santa, which supports a number of charities such as Teenage Cancer Trust and Alzheimer’s Society.
