Making her Netball Super League debut in 2024 for Saracens Mavericks, we’re delighted to announce that we have signed the talented Wing Attack and Centre, Indya Masser, as a permanent replacement for Natalie Metcalf for the 2025 season, who has announced she is expecting her first baby.
Thunder Head Coach and Franchise Director, Karen Greig, said, “I’m delighted to have secured Indya as our permanent replacement for Nat. We spent a lot of time doing our due diligence so we were able to make the right decision for us as a club. We invited Indya alongside other athletes in to train with us so we could get a real feel for what she could offer.”
She has been representing Birmingham Panthers in the NXT Gen league to this point and I’ve been paying her close attention. I’d like to thank Jo trip and Panthers for supporting this move. Having had a year in NSL under her belt for Mavericks last year she knows what’s needed to step up at that level and I’m excited to see her connections. She has a great netball smarts and assesses what’s needed in the moment very well and that’s exactly what is needed at this point so close to the start of the season. Welcome to the Thunder family Indya.”
Indya said, “I’m excited to be joining the Manchester Thunder squad for the 2025 Super League season. This is an incredible opportunity, and I’m looking forward to embracing this challenge, learning from my experienced teammates, and contributing to our collective success on the court. I’m grateful for this amazing opportunity and can’t wait for the season to begin!”
You can watch Indya take to court tomorrow in our pre-season tri-friendly against London Mavericks and Nottingham Forest Netball, as well as our other fixtures starting with our highly anticipated game against Loughborough Lightning at the AO Arena on Sunday 16th March.
