The Black and Yellows and Hertfordshire Mavericks are the only unbeaten sides in the Superleague, as we head into round four.Thunder will be brimming with confidence following a convincing away win over rivals Team Bath just three days ago.Lightning will also be in buoyant mood after they came from behind to see-off a spirited Celtic Dragons team on Saturday.
Play in the centre court is expected to be especially competitive, with both sides bursting with England talent, through Thunder skipper Sara Bayman, wing defence Laura Malcolm Lightning captain Jade Clarke to name just three.
Thunder survived a bruising encounter against Bath, and coach Dan Ryan is expecting just as tough a test against Lightning, and expects to call on his whole squad for the match. “You never know when your next win is going to come. You’re only as good as you’re last performance, so we need to keep going. You never know when your next win is going to come,” he said. The Australian added: “We want to reproduce another good performance on Monday night. We have a very deep squad so we’ll be able to freshen up a few players and get players out there for longer periods of time.”
The game will be available to watch live on Sky Sports 2 tonight from 7.45pm!
