Four-times Netball Super League champions Manchester Thunder are toasting a new partnership with a leading fine wine supplier from the north west as they look to offer the best possible matchday experience in 2024.
Vini Veneti, founded by Italian Gabriele Righetti and North West businessman Tim Fairley who met while on holiday in northern Italy, brings top-quality wine from passionate producers at an affordable price to UK customers via their website www.viniveneti.co.uk.
The business has now signed up as a partner with one of the north west’s most successful teams and will host exclusive wine-tasting events across the season showcasing the wines and their story as well as supplying drinks for hospitality guests and those with platinum plus tickets.
Debbie Hallas, Manchester Thunder’s director of strategy and communications, said, “As more and more people come to our games, and netball grows in popularity, we wanted to expand and elevate the matchday experience so partnering with Vini Veneti will be a win-win.
“We look forward to working with Tim and Gabriele to showcase their passion and the beautiful wines they bring to this country from Italy, and are proud to be able to support a growing North West business.”
Tim Fairley, co-founder of Vini Veneti, commented, “My friendship with Gabriele began 11 years ago on the shores of Lake Garda and never did I think it would lead to partnerships like this with one of the north west’s leading and most successful sporting teams.
“We are excited to bring our passion, and some stunning wines, to those experiencing Manchester Thunder’s home games this season and can’t wait to bring the best of northern Italy to the best of the north of England.”
