Manchester Thunder are thrilled to announce their renewed sponsorship with longstanding sponsors and partners of the Club, nQ legal, as they welcome them back again to the Thunder family for the 2024 season as the Club’s Official Legal Services Partner.
The strategic partnership will see the local law firm, headed by commercial lawyers Tony Brook and Carol Thompson, provide a full legal services support package to the franchise as it continues to put in place its ambitious growth plans on and off the court.
Both the firm and the franchise are proud to be Manchester-based and they share a vision for community engagement, the growth and development of female sport, and the professionalisation of netball.
nQ legal will also continue their decade long sponsorship of Thunder Franchise Director and Head Coach, Karen Greig, and will also step up as official sponsor to one of the Club’s and indeed the sport’s rising stars, Anya Williams.
Their sponsorship is driven by nQ legal’s commitment to supporting clubs, coaches and athletes in their business and career developments and with their extensive expertise in the sporting and business sectors, is very much welcomed by Thunder, Karen and Anya.
Gary Young, Manchester Thunder’s Non-Executive Director said “nQ Legal are one of our most valued and trusted partners and as such we’re delighted to be able to announce a further extension to our long-standing relationship. The commercial support, insights and guidance provided by Carol and Tony are second to none and have become increasingly important as we progress towards the increasing professionalisation of our sport. In reality they operate as an extension of the Thunder business, and we can’t thank them enough for their support. “
Carol Thompson, Director at nQ legal, added:
“We are delighted to extend our strong partnership with Manchester Thunder and our sponsorship of Karen as she takes on her new additional role of Franchise Director on top of the Head Coach role this season. And we are very excited to sponsor new emerging talent Anya Williams as she starts out on what promises to be a long and successful netball career.
“We look forward to supporting the club with its plans for growth and development over the next year as the sport embraces the journey towards professionalisation. It’s an exciting time for netball and female sport generally, and Manchester Thunder are right at the forefront of it.
