With round 5 of the Netball Super League tomorrow, we wanted to update you on where Lois and Paige are at with their recovery:
Lois Pearson
Lois suffered a hamstring injury that required surgery which she had successfully in January. In recent weeks, she has had her follow up appointment with her consultant who is very happy with her progress and recovery. This week Lois had been able to step up her rehabilitation and we have seen her doing some light jogging on the court. Because of the type of injury at this stage, we can’t give an exact timeline for her return as it very much depends on Lois hitting certain markers and ultimately how her body responds to this next stage of rehab. Lois’s recovery is heading in the right direction and we will continue to work closely with England netball medical staff and we are hopeful for a return to court before the end of the season.
Paige Reed
Paige suffered a stress response in her foot and is responding well to deload and rehabilitation. Such is the frustrating nature of her injury, we cannot put a time line on her return to court as we are very much being led by the response of her foot, but she is making great progress as we increase her running and netball minutes on the court. We will continue to ensure we are diligent with her RTP and will have her back on court firstly building her minutes in the NXT Gen competition as soon as she is able before we reintegrate her back into the NSL competition.
