“It’s a huge game against Mavericks on Sunday, especially for them with their first ever arena game, so it’s really flattering that we were chosen as the opposition for this one.”
“Mavericks will obviously want to give their crowd something to cheer about, and they’ll definitely be coming out trying to take the points. They have strength and depth across the court, with a solid defence unit that are powerful and able to win ball, and an accurate shooting lineup with a lot of diversity of how they’re able to play their attack lineup. We’re going to have to make sure we are playing at full strength and ensuring we’re smart with our ball in attack and moving the ball around, mixing it up and adding variety so we’re not giving them opportunity to win ball from us. Defensively we’re going to have to make sure we are adapting throughout as they have different things that they can throw at us so we just need to make sure we’re on top of our own game plan and making sure that we execute that and we’re clinical in possession, putting forward four solid fifteen minute quarters and back ourselves throughout.”

Player(s) To Watch:
A player to look out for Mavericks is Razia Quashie at Goal Keeper. She’s a powerful Goal Keeper who’s not afraid to hunt ball but can also play really well on one-on-one.
Quashie on the fly ✈️
Superb defence from @R_Quashie_ as @SaracensMavs look to extend their advantage 🙌

In the shooting circle we’ve also seen that Ine-Mari Venter is back in action for them, and is a range shooter who is happy to put the ball up from anywhere. We’re going to have to make sure we’re getting in to her head early and unsettle her.
