“It’s going to be a great game against Leeds Rhinos this weekend and derby days never seem to disappoint. I think form kind of goes out the window and league table positions go out the window, as it’s always a hotly contested game.”
We’re looking forward to welcoming former Thunder players back to Belle Vue, with Joyce Mvula, Caroline O’Hanlon, Harriet Jones, Paige Kindred and Amelia Hall. Joyce has stamped her authority back in the Super League being one of the highest goal scorers and she’s going to be difficult for us to stop so it’s going to be important for us tomorrow to ensure that we put pressure on early and don’t let them settle and disrupt that feed into the circle. I’m also looking forward to welcoming back Liana Leota who will be sitting on the opposite coaching bench, so it will be good to pick wits against her this weekend.”

Player(s) To Watch:
A player to look out for Leeds Rhinos is Joyce Mvula. She’s obviously a high percentage shooter, and is really strong and physical in the circle. She’s going to be a powerhouse in there so we are going to have to look to unsettle her early.
Mvula’s got moves 💃
It’s fight or flight in @RhinosNetballSL attacking circle tonight with the battle heating up between Joyce Mvula and Funmi Fadoju 🔥#NSL2024 | #SeeUsNow pic.twitter.com/dnilE2j2Ln

Also Zoe Davis in the Rhinos defence is a real active defender who looks to hunt and run on anything, so she’s going to look to be disrupting our attacking unit so we are going to have to be really smart with how we play ball.
