Now our focus turns towards our rearranged fixture vs Mavericks on Monday evening. It’s going to be a big game as the top two teams battle it out, Mavs need to win to secure a home semi final and we are looking to build momentum on the back of some solid performances so there is a lot to play for.
If you want to keep up to date with our preparation leading to this game, as well as up to the semi finals, each player within the squad will be taking over the Manchester Thunder snapchat account for a day. Sara started us off nicely on Monday giving her secret tip to get away from your defender and Ellie Cardwell showed us how she celebrates winning player of the match by heading to the library! I’m taking over the account on Saturday as I’m off to Wembley to cheer on the mighty Everton against Manchester United so make sure you add “mancthunder” to see what we all get up to on a daily basis!
Lastly I’d like to say a huge congratulations to Laura, Jodie, Nat, Ellie and Helen who have all been selected for the England squad to compete at the upcoming Netball Europe. Special mention has to go to Ellie on her debut call up and Laura Malcs being named vice captain. Both girls have been in great form this season and have been the benchmark in their respective positions so it’s great to see them rewarded for their hard work.
