Immediately after the game the focus was shifted to the next one against Yorkshire Jets on Friday. After the clash against them in round four, we are all well aware of the threat they present and I have no doubt that Saturday’s game will be just as challenging.
Although the Bath game was successful in terms of result, Tracey, Karen and Sara will I’m sure have been meticulous as ever looking at the footage and they will highlight several things for us to work on in training this week. We also have a birthday in the squad this week, Kathryn Turner is feeling 22 so let’s hope she brings a good cake for us to enjoy after training!
On Tuesday, #thundersbigsecret was revealed and we’re all really excited to be playing our home semi-final at the Manchester Arena! This, along-side Netball London Live, is a massive step-up for domestic netball in England and huge credit has to be given to the staff behind the scenes who have made this possible. We’re hoping to get a big crowd to make an even bigger atmosphere, so make sure invite all of your family/friends/neighbours/teammates!
You can help us too by tweeting and sharing on social media, tag in @thundernetball use #NetballManchester and we will retweet you too!
In the meantime, after a month long stint of away games we’re looking forward to being back on our home turf this weekend. With the long break and the fact it is a sell-out derby game, you have no excuses not to be louder than ever during the game!
