Amy Carter has signed a two-year contract, keeping her at Manchester Thunder until 2020.
The 19-year-old had a breakthrough season in the Black and Yellow dress in 2018, putting in a number of Player of the Match performances for the senior side.
Carter, who is currently studying medicine at university, was also named u21 Coaches’ Player the Year.
The centre-courter capped off a successful season, personally, with a call-up to the England Roses Fast5 squad.
Amy said: “I’m really pleased to sign for the next two seasons with Thunder.
“I really want to push on, make the final and win the whole thing this year.
“I’m looking forward to seeing all the brilliant Thunder fans out there again next season.”
Manchester Thunder managing director Debbie Hallas is pleased to have a young talent commit her future to Thunder.
“Amy Carter has already been with the club for a number of years and we have watched her develop into a fine young player,” Debbie said.
“She had a great season for us last year and really showed what she can do on the court.
“We are looking forward to seeing her game improve even further and it’s a testament to her ability and character to see her get the call-up to the international squad.”
