On Monday, England Netball released their selection for the 2021 Roses Academy, with 29 athletes being selected.
Sheonah Forbes, England Netball Roses Academy Head Coach said, “The Roses Academy trial was full of exceptional talent and the long squad’s development both on and off the court, over the last four months, was demonstrated over the weekend.
“The athletes in the long squad have all shown outstanding resilience in this time, as well the drive to adapt to the environments we have had to create, and a testament to the work within the pathway. I look forward to seeing them all develop in their franchises over the next couple of months.
“This new selected group of athletes will face another camp in May before a competition in July, and the team and I look forward to this next part of the Roses Academy 2021.”
Manchester Thunder are very proud that 12 of these chosen athletes are from the Thunder Pathway:
Lauren Palmer, Manchester Thunder Pathway Head Coach said, “So proud to see Bridget, Ellie, Emma, Harriet, Hannah, Kaedin, Rae, Savannah, Silvia, Stacey, Yas and Yomi named in the Roses Academy 2021 squad. It goes to show that all their hard work and dedication is paying off.”
We wish all of the selected athletes the best of luck in their camp in May and competitive competition in July.
