The partnership will form a key part of the Portland Street-based company’s people strategy in Manchester, with the support of the 380 dedicated specialists working for them. In return, Thunder will help to promote the media group’s commitment to diversity in the workplace, employee health and wellbeing, and supporting the local community.
Elliot Muscant, Managing Partner, Dentsu Aegis Network North, said: “There are clear synergies between sporting and business achievement, and so to partner with the Thunder, a team that has produced some of our country’s best international players and England’s current international team manager, suitably reflects our company’s industry-leading status and will help to inspire our talented employees on to even greater successes.”
Plans are already in place for a number of initiatives between Thunder players and staff at Dentsu Aegis Network Manchester, including fitness sessions and charity events.
Debbie Hallas, Manchester Thunder managing director, said: “We are delighted to have Dentsu Aegis Network join the growing Thunder Family. This is a very exciting time for the franchise and we are excited to work together with the Dentsu Aegis team in Manchester. We hope it will be a successful season both on and off the court and that this partnership continues to progress for many seasons to come.”
